Beth and I went to B I N G O Tuesday night.....and won!
It was $15 for 3 1/2 hours of bingo and a free spaghetti dinner. Each game, the winner gets 100 bucks, but if 2 or more people get bingo at the same time, they have to split the money. I got four corners one of the games and had to split the money with 4 other people (we each got $20), then a few games later Beth won and got $50!! so we each went home with $35 because we had decided beforehand to split if we ever won anything. we have SO much fun going to bingo, and we don't even expect to win, so it was pretty exciting.

This weekend Katie came to visit :)  Saturday I met her and Laura in Cranberry to look for bridal shower stuff for Kristen, which was kinda weird (we are getting old), but really fun. Then we ate Jr. Whoppers at Burger King - my first one ever - and talked about the end times, haha...interesting lunch topic! After that Katie and I went for a walk in Frick Park and picked a bunch of black-eyed susans. They made such a pretty bouquet on our guest book table! Then last night Carrie, Kristen, and Beth were here too and we all went down to Station Square to eat at Buca Di Beppos. It was my first time there, but the food was really good...we got a huge salad, margarita pizza, and stuffed shells with spicy sausage in them. I think I was the only one who liked the shells and they were delicious. Then we played "Boxers or Briefs" at our apartment, which I love, until everyone got sick of it. We ended by having girl talks until we were too tired to keep our eyes open any more, then got up like 5 hours later for church! Great weekend!!

i have exciting news - I GOT A JOB!! no more sitting around in sweats every day watching dr. phil, eating cereal, and waiting for everyone else to get home from work...not that there is anything wrong with that, but it does get old, believe it or not. actually i've really been trying to have productive days off, so i've been doing a lot of biking, walking, reading, and cleaning.

i'll be working for RC Holsinger, a cpa firm in wexford. and i get to travel!! i'll go with a few other people about 3-4 times a year to American Samoa....yeah i definitely had to google that one - it's a 4x26 mile island in the south pacific, near the equator. sweet!!

and i met with the owner yesterday...he is a really cool guy who actually has morals and believes in using his business to help other people. i didn't even think those existed any more! i'm nervous about not knowing anything and looking stupid, but i know God got me the job, and that i'm where i'm supposed to be, and he wouldn't give me something i can't handle. so i just gotta suck it up! my first day is monday..wish me luck

well, the weekend has come to a close. even though i don't have a job (YET), it's still kind of sad when the weekend ends. everyone has to go back to work, and i get bored. but it could all end on tuesday....

anyway, friday night i went to a pirates game against the twins. we ended up losing 2-3, but i didn't lose much sleep over it. i save my stress for the steelers. the fireworks afterwards were awesome! hopefully my 80's camera captured a few of them, but i won't know until i get them developed.

saturday was a rough morning. to my horror, i found my first GRAY HAIR!!! is this normal at 24? ahhh what a bummer. then i went home and as i was telling the story to my parents, my mom reached over, pulled out a piece of hair and showed it to me, and sure enough...another one! oh, and also that morning i dropped an entire pot of flower seeds i had planted a few days ago - moist miracle grow all over my clothes, in my pockets, and in everything i was carrying (which was apparently too much).

despite saturday morning, my 2 days at home was nice. saturday night jenna had a cookout at her house, and i was the official burger-griller. i think they turned out pretty well, unless you like pink because i don't do pink. there was also some scattergories and euchre, so you can't go wrong with those games. this morning my brother called and i got to talk to him for an hour   then went to church, then had a little cookout with the fam.

it was a wonderful father's day in the vern, and i hope everyone else had a good one too!
